We previously wrote about the PHEV workshop at the international EVS-23 conference at http://www.calcars.org/calcars-news/888.html , expressing our hope that the presentations could be made available broadly for all those who weren't able to attend.

We're very pleased that that larger global audience, and those among the 400+ attendees who were there taking photos of the screen images, can now find PDFs of all the presentations at the Electric Drive Transportation's website. Here's the announcement:

The presentations from the EVS-23 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Workshop that was held on December 2 in Anaheim are now available on the EDTA website. The direct link is: http://www.electricdrive.org/index.php?tg=articles&topics=226

In related news, most people had assumed that in the just-signed Energy Bill, with the financing provisions ($5,000 credits for PHEVs, $2,500 for conversions) removed, there were no PHEV-related provisions in the bill.

We'll have more to say about this as soon as we have time. But meanwhile, EDTA has also provided a summary of the electrification provisions at http://www.electricdrive.org/index.php?tg=entry&idx=more&article=1677&idg=2

You can review these in depth on your own by looking at the full text of HR 6, the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, at http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=110_cong_bills&docid=f:h6enr.txt.pdf
