The international Electric Drive Transportation Association http://www.electricdrive.org/ is holding its North American Conference & Exposition 2005 in Vancouver , British Columbia on Tues-Thurs, December 6-8. This is the first year that plug-in hybrids are centrally included in the actual event, rather than being a "related workshop" the day before (details below). It's a great opportunity to hear and meet many of the people most involved with PHEVs. I'll be there from mid-day Dec 7 through Dec. 8, speaking on the 8th.

The entire event is worth attending. The concluding speaker is Barry Penner, Premier of British Columbia. You can see the program from links at http://www.edtaconference.com/agenda.html

At http://www.edtaconference.com you can see the sponsor list and exhibitor list (both also reproduced at the end of this email). CalCars material will be available at the booth of Electro Energy (we explain our joint project to evaluate industry-standard NiMH batteries for PHEVs at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/priusplus/message/513).

Here's the program for the Thursday, December 8 "Concurrent Learning" sessions on PHEVs:
